Dream Salve
Ingredients: Hops, Skullcap, Mugwort, Valerian Root, Sesame Oil, Safflower oil, Coconut Oil, Cocoa butter, Beeswax, Vitamin E.
Dream Salve was the second product we started making for Cat Nap Botanicals. It comes in tins that are 1 oz or 2 oz in size. I use this salve when I am trying to remember my dreams or work on my lucid dreaming, and self-guided practice through dreaming and dream work.
The salve can feel heavy on the skin at first and will soak in within 20 minutes. Less is more.
- Hops: Sleep and Dream Awareness
Hops are described as supporting falling asleep, staying asleep, and awareness during dreams.
In folklore, it is associated with remembering and controlling dreams, as well as prophetic dreams. - Skullcap: Comfort and Rest
Skullcap is described as soothing muscles and easing aches and pains to make sleep easier and more restful. - Mugwort: Muscle Comfort and Lucid Dreaming
Mugwort is described as soothing muscle pain and supporting lucid dreaming—the awareness that you are dreaming while a dream is unfolding.
In folklore, mugwort salve is associated with witches’ flight and remembering dreams. - Valerian Root: Sleep, Protection, and Grounding
Valerian root is described as aiding sleep and offering protection and grounding while asleep.
How to use
Before sleep or your meditation practice rub a finger across the top of the salve until it starts to melt then place the salve on the forehead around the third eye. If dollop is too large the rest can be rubbed into hands. Salve is best used for a set a period such as a lunar cycle. We recommend starting your practice on the first night of the new moon and using it for 28 days. Record your dreams when you first wake up or journal right after the end of your meditation. You can also use our dream salve as part of a 30-day to 40-day dream work or Yoga Nidra cycle depending upon your practice.

Tea of the Month

Anahata Tea
Our Anahata Tea is a blend of Tulsi, Lemon Balm & Rose petals.
Enjoy hot or iced while chanting the Bija seed sound of Anahata Yam (sounds like Yum – like the tea yummy)
Anahata is the Sanskrit word for Heart Chakra.
Our heart, the spiritual center of our chest. That spot right behind the chest bone (sternum). It is often described as a twelve (12) petaled lotus flower – green is the modern interpretation of this chakra’s color.
Each petal represents an aspect of understanding the heart and the emotions around the heart. Each petal represents an individual Bija (seed sound – a monotone sound of creation & understanding) that helps us to understand Anahata – our own heart.
The word Anahata means “sound produced without touching two parts” and at the same time it means “pure” or “clean, stainless.” There is no violence in the creation of the sound of the heart.
At Cat Nap Botanicals we created Anahata Tea in celebration of a new studio opening that I am teaching at. Anahata Yoga WI in Brookfield WI. I love collaborating with studios, authors and other creative individuals to create unique items to celebrate their milestones.

About Us
Founded in 2020 in Waukesha, Wisconsin, Cat Nap Botanicals is a family-owned business run from our personal kitchen. Cleanliness and sanitation are an important part of our process, and every product is made in small batches with care and intention.
Our mission is to create high-quality, natural products using sustainably sourced botanical ingredients. We believe the health of our planet is intricately connected to our own well-being, which is why we strive to create products that honor the seasonal rhythms of both our bodies and the Earth.
We grow a portion of the herbs used in our products ourselves and carefully curate the rest from sustainable, earth-centered growers and farmers. And, of course, our catnip is personally evaluated by our three feline employees: Wesley, Buffy, and Hatch.
